More Than Customer Service
Rachel Machin State Farm Agency is looking for a relationship-focused Customer Service Representative who loves helping people, solving problems, and finding opportunities to better protect the customers we serve.
You'll be a trusted point of contact for our existing customers—answering questions, assisting with policy changes, resolving concerns, and making sure they feel genuinely taken care of.
But great service in our agency goes one step further.
We expect our service team to recognize opportunities, uncover unmet needs, and confidently recommend additional products and coverage when they can benefit the customer. You don't need to be a high-pressure salesperson, but you should be comfortable having conversations that can lead to cross-selling, account growth, and additional commission.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers with policy questions, changes, billing, and account needs
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and provide a remarkable service experience
- Review customer accounts and identify potential coverage gaps or additional needs
- Educate customers about relevant insurance and financial products
- Cross-sell and recommend appropriate products based on customer needs
- Follow up with customers and help improve retention
- Document interactions and maintain accurate customer records
- Work closely with the sales and service teams to achieve agency goals
- Take ownership of customer concerns and follow through to resolution
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Genuinely enjoy helping and connecting with people
- Communicate with patience, confidence, and empathy
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Look for solutions instead of simply identifying problems
- Can recognize an opportunity and confidently make a recommendation
- Are motivated by goals and enjoy earning additional income for strong performance
- Take initiative and follow through without needing constant reminders
- Are coachable and want to continue developing professionally
- Enjoy being part of a close-knit, collaborative, and ambitious team
Previous customer service experience is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
